FERTILIZERS
High concentration of easily accessible nitrogen in almost identical ammonium-nitrate form provides the plants with a quick uptake (and nutrition) of this basic macroelement.
Potassium Nitrate is Water Soluble N – K Fertilizer contributing nitrogen 13 % and potassium 45 %. Potassium nitrate is a unique source of potassium by its nutritional value and its contribution to the health and yields of plants.
Because ammonium nitrate (AN) contains 100 % ammonium nitrogen, it has the advantage that it provides the plant with nitrogen quickly and at the same time does not lose nitrogen to the atmosphere.
Ammonium sulphate provides the plant with nitrogen and sulphur at the same time, and due to that enables the plant to have a very high growth and yield.
Urea, a white crystalline solid containing 46% nitrogen, is widely used in the agricultural industry as an animal feed additive and fertilizer Here we discuss it only as a nitrogen fertilizer.
DAP is used as Phosphate fertilizer. It has an analysis of 18-46-0. Nutrients include P2O5 (46%) and ammoniacal nitrogen (18%). DAP provides the correct proportion of phosphate and nitrogen needed for farming wheat, barley and vegetables. It is also applied in the early stage of fruit orchard fertilization.
NPK fertilizers are complex, highly effective combined fertilizers with chemically integrated macro and secondary nutrients in the grid of the granule. They are manufactured on the basis of monoammonium phosphate through neutralization of nitric and phosphoric acid and supplementary addition of potassium salts. After granulation they are covered by slowly soluble in water layer of magnesium oxide MgO and sulfur trioxide SO3, aimed at the exercise of control over the velocity of release of nutrients.
